Thanks for the comments guys, here's how I got that job: they found me, liked my look and emailed me. Now that I've actually done a day of work, I can say it was slightly sketchier than advertised, but I have a huge wad of $20's and it's all good. Generally, the job sucks, however.

I think I've given up on attempting to have female friends aside from my roommates and online people. I don't get along with the vast majority of them and I've never had an instant connection with one. Like, I recently hung out with an old coworker and we ended up staying up all night talking about philosophy. I can't seem to get something like that to happen with girls. Doesn't seem like much of a loss. Most of the females I've met in Waterloo are ridiculously fake anyway.

I also think I'm just innately good at cooking. Must be from watching my mom all the time. I made a stir-fry (easiest thing ever) with some really nice sirloin, brown and wild rice, onions, red and yellow pepper, olive oil, and the only spices we have in the house (curry powder, cinnamon, salt, pepper and garlic salt). Turned out surprisingly awesome considering the total lack of ingredients. I need to cook more. And I have leftovers, whee! Next time, more salt and some pineapple.

While I was down there, I overhauled the kitchen cabinets and cleaned out all the old, old stuff in there. There's food from before I moved in, christ. Everything's now all shiny and organized and I have my own shelf since all my food takes up less than a quarter of a cabinet. :3

Finally, I called my mom today to bitch about my total lack of a decent job and she mentioned that the job I had a few years ago as a receptionist at my chiropractor's is going to be open for full-time soon. Their current receptionist is moving away. When I worked there, I was only filling in for her because she had surgery, so it was part-time.. this means I could take back the awesome job, get paid really well and not have to worry. Except it's at home and not Waterloo. Thus, dilemma. I might actually have to move home if I can't get anything here so at least I have a job waiting.. but that would entirely suck.

Pool with Mike tomorrow, astrocast on Saturday, gym and cleaning on Sunday, home on Monday(ish). I can make this work.

friends, food stuffs, work
