It was with mixed emotions that Gakuto stepped through the front doors of the apartment building, shaking off his sopping umbrella outside and giving a nod to Aspen behind the desk. Yuushi was here. Yuushi was here. After six months, the fact that Yuushi - who had been his best friend - was suddenly here, with them, sharing an apartment with him... it was weird.
Choosing to take the stairs rather than wait for the elevator, Gakuto had a little time to think. What if something was different with Yuushi? It had been six months, after all. Nothing had seemed wrong with his post, his replies, but you could never tell online (Gakuto touched his hair; didn't he know that well enough). What if something was different with him, and he just hadn't noticed? He tried to push these thoughts away. He'd just have to wait and see.
