[Yayoi's sobbing screams shouldn't be too hard to track down- her voice is ALREADY naturally loud, and she's fleeing on the main road, at least!]

Yayoi? Is that you? [Well, there's only one screaming person out here.] It's Machi, just try and stay where you--

[Yayoi's screams trail off into choking sobs as she comes to a standstill, her eyes squeezed shut as she waits for help. It's a rat that's bigger than a small dog- she's petrified.]

[Even if Machi doesn't have Cyndaquil, there's always Scallion. The Farfetch'd spots the other girl coming and quacks urgently, hop-skipping as he points in Yayoi's general direction.]

[And wow, that is a big rat, but those things don't bother Machi much. She doesn't even think of Scallion. She just runs up to the Rattata and KICKS IT INTO THE GRASS.]

[And feels bad for it about a moment later, but regardless.]

[It's just Machi's luck that kicks are super-effective! The Rattata goes FLYING into the grass with a shriek, scampering away as fast as it can when it lands.]

[Yayoi's eyes snap open at the Rattata's scream, and she looks around wildly.] Aaaaah!! I-It got Machi, too!?

[Machi sighs and stretches and turns to Yayoi.]

No, Machi got it. Don't worry, it's gone now. Why'd you wander around out here by yourself?

R-Really? It's really gone? [Yayoi sits down heavily, looking both utterly relieved and really shaken up.] Thank god...

[She looks up at Machi, still rubbing her eyes with her sleeve; her voice still hitches every now and then as she keeps talking.] U-Um, just, um... C-Cherrygrove... I was trying to get to Cherrygrove...

[Machi puts a hand on Yayoi's shoulder.] Hey, calm down now. You're fine. Maybe you should find someone to travel with. That's safer than going off on your own.
