I has a job!
I'll be working in the Learning Lab at Everest University down here in FL. It used to be Florida Metropolitan University and is owned by Corinthian Colleges Inc, out of CA. It's an occupational school for people with/without their GEDs who want careers in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Media... etc. The Learning Lab is basically helping students out with papers/homework, proctoring tests and being a helpful ear. I will also be *fanfare* teaching! I'll be teaching a course called Strengthening Skills. It's a two part course. The first part is Math, which, thankfully, I don't have to teach. I'll be teaching the second half, the English portion. It's broken up into a 12-week "semesters". Math is 6 weeks, English is the other 6. I have a lot of prep reading to do, employee hire stuff and the textbook. From what I was told the Strengthening Skills class is like a pre-pre-requisite. It's there to get the students up to writing at the collegiate level. And when the students come in they log on and do the activities online and the instructor watches over them, offering help and answers. There's no grading, it's all done online.
But I r employed!
Oh and I found out I'm graduating from WSC Cum Laude!
Oh and my mom and I moved to a much cooler place!
