Well--

Between a floating sickness and terribly tyrannical tea testy tarries, I find my few days here to be...

Odd.

This device, for example, I have yet to truly master. At the very least, I have figured the contraption to record what I may to this 'network'.

Aside and all, I cannot find the heart or resolute to complain--for here, I had not imagined ( Read more... )

Alice is here. That's good. And I'm glad the floating bit didn't bother you too much.

When did you have in mind?

Oh, yes--she is, and so much of herself! I cannot express my joy at her presence. I had just been missing her so...

Were you affected by this lack of grounding?

Whenever you're free, my friend, of course!

So much of herself? Well, I'm glad she's here regardless.

Um, no. I remained blissfully unaffected.

How's tomorrow evening? Barring a curse, of course.

Yes...she wasn't entirely Alice upon her return on the Gribling day. Hardly Alice, at that.

Fantifficant! Very glad to hear it.

A wonderful idea--of course, of course. Above and below forbid.

Alices have a set way to be?

Hey, maybe you could invite Alice.

My Alice--our Alice--she was entirely, utterly, inescapably Alice. At her return, she had lost part of her. Her wholeness, a glow. Her muchness.

I would love to have her meet you!

[Thomas knows a thing or two about losing one's 'muchness'. He still hasn't found his.]

I think I get it.

Well, I'd be honored to meet someone as much herself as you say this Alice is.

She's entirely herself now...and knows well my face.

I will ask her, of course--no doubt she would like to meet you as well. Any friend and such friends, of course.

I'd love to meet her, Tarrant.

Likewise, for her with you. I'm looking forward to seeing you again. I've not made many companions in many annuls.

Neither have I.

Then I think it good fortune you so found me. And I you.

Can you really consider people friends if you don't really know them?

10shlling6pence May 31 2010, 02:08:38 UTC
Yes, of course.

For though I do not know you yet, I plan to do so, most entirely. There is something about kinship--for though you may not know such a person within detail and digging, why, you might--feel them in your legs, or your skin--your heart at times.

That is where consideration falls, I believe.

So, you just have this 'feeling' about me, huh?

A very good one, in fact.
