Day

Today was busy. I had my Management class and got my midterm test back. As I expected, I did pretty poorly. Below the mean in fact. I think Bidgood is doing well and will have 'one-up' on me for our big bet of who can get better grades this quarter. Oh well, I'm more involved and it is self-fulfilling so I'm ok.

After class i went back the EC for about 15 minutes to check my email and such. I got another invitation for an on-campus interview. THis time it is for Protiviti for their internal audit position. I don't really know much about the company but it looks like they outsource internal audit services and such. With that, I'm 3/4 on interviews. I applied for Protiviti, Albertsons, Clark Nuber, and BDO Siedman. I got interviews with all except for BDO (douche bags who didn't even attend their own information session). I'm awaiting Stryker Endocopsy and Microsoft. I don't think MSFT will get to me because it looks like they lost my resume but that's ok. If they are that unroganized, do I really want to work for them? [sure I do...]

So then I went to Bellevue for an in-office, second interview with Clark Nuber. To sum it up: 9 interviewers in 6 hours. I also had lunch and met with the head of the department (partner) who I would be working for if I got the position. The position is for a summer internship in the audit department. I was really nervous at first- I had to go to luch at a pretty nice place and I wasn't that talkative but the people at CN are really nice and easygoing- which is totally what I like. So after the last interview with the parnter, I think things went well. I made the partner laugh and he thought I had a sense of humor. I brought out the break dance and ping pong card a few times and people were amused. And one girl wants to maybe take a hip-hop dance class with the EC. How great would that be? CN is also technology-oriented which is so cool. You would get your own laptop, PDA, cell phone, and cubicle. I know that sounds crappy- cubicle, but at the big 4 firms, you don't even get your own desk, which is totally impersonal and not cool yo. So in short, I was impressed with Clark Nuber and would love to work there. It's totally open and there are only 120 employees which is small compared to Price Waterhouse Cooper's 100,000+ worldwide employees. 120 employees means room to grow and people who will actually know your name- totally cool.

So after that, I went back to UW. Man, 520 traffic is bad. Took me 40 minutes to cross the bridge- so many carpool violators too. It's 3 person carpool and not 2 on 520. Bastard violators. I was about 40 minutes late for my Beta Alpha Psi meeting and was given crap by one of the officers (bitch!). But I sat in and then left and got some free food. I saw many people I knew but didn't get a chance to talk because i had to do other things- darn.

Then I went to a group paper meeting in suzzallo in which we didn't get much stuff done. it's going to be a challenging paper ot write with 4 people.

anyway, that was my day. My next 4 days are giong to be jsut as hectic too. gotta go and write thank you emails now ;-)
