“We think the central suites were temporary quarters for technicians. Your team will be quartered in section F12, larger and better views than central quarters,” Major Lorne says as they leave the gateroom. He strides forward without looking back, everyone else trailing behind.
“And of course farther from where anything important happens,” DiNozzo chirps.
“You’ll be in the same area as senior staff and an office has been set up for you just off the operations balcony.” Lorne enters a small room (a transporter, Colby realizes) and finally turns to face them “Atlantis has no intention of obstructing the NID.”
Evan
It’s two hours before Barrett tells him why the hell he’s been recalled to the mountain.
“We know you and Granger are close friends and shared a place while he was a spy. We need to know if you can add to the investigation or if he could have gotten information about the program through you. We’ve got to cover all bases.”
Evan says nothing.
“Take a break. Go to the mess. We’ll finish later.”
Barrett gathers his things to go and rests a hand lightly on Evan’s shoulder. “I’m sorry,” he says and leaves Evan alone in the room.
