Hello everyone
My name is Elissa, and I just got my first out-of-college, real person job. Between paying off student loans and all the stupid nonsense that is starting out in the world, I began to feel like I was spending so much money on stupid things like bills, and I started to get frustrated.
The trivial: I live in New York, about an hour northwest of NYC, and I am a copy editor and columnist for a newspaper there. I write a lot (duh) and also am really involved with all the creative arts. I have three pet rats. The first one is named Hugo, and the newest two are Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. (The Rat Pack!) Um. I'm running dry.
So anyway, here's my problem. I don't know where I want to donate. At all. So if you would help me a little, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm also going to look back through the archives to read what some of you are giving to.
I'm really impressed by this community, and I'm excited to start.
