The beach seemed like the worst kind of hiding spot for Dallas and Edy to visit. For one thing, Dallas hated sand. She would break out into fits whenever the wind blew sand in her face. Second of all, people can and went through the area almost every hour or every day, so there was always a very good possibility that they would be spotted by someone they knew. The only reason they continued to head out in that direction was for the lighthouse nearby. There was a small bed of flowers that grew on the lighthouse's south side which appeared to light up with beautiful colors after the sun set every night. Dallas and Edy would go there on weekends to see the flowers in all of their splendor. They each took one flower for themselves as proof of their existence, being careful not to disturb the others. They tried to keep the flowers hidden from those close to them, as they wanted that spot to be theirs, and theirs alone.
