For the last few days, Edy devoted a small amount of her time thinking of the perfect way to "get" Dallas, deliberately keeping quiet about it in order to prevent anyone from ruining the surprise. She crouched behind a bush close to the barracks, watching as the flowers she ordered arrived right on time. While Dallas was distracted, Edy tiptoed out from behind the bush, pretending to hold her gun in her hands. When she felt she was close enough, she waited for Dallas to read the attached card out loud to herself.
"Look behind you," it said.
It only took a half-second for Dallas to turn around before Edy grabbed hold of her.
"Edy?!" she yelped. "What did you do that for?"
"Shh! Not so loud," said Edy. "I was practicing how to move stealthily. If I were an Imperial soldier, you'd be dead by now."
"If I'm really dead, does that mean I'm now in heaven?"
Only she would be silly enough to use a life-or-death situation for the chance to throw in an innuendo, Edy thought. She countered by saying, "That depends...have you been a good girl?"
"I don't know," Dallas said as Edy hugged her. "Maybe."
