Never thought I'd say this...

I never thought I'd say this, being me, but I'm COLD!!! *shivers* I had to set my laptop on top of my kotatsu! I hope the computer doesn't overheat itself... I'm also glad I have an electric futon to sleep on, too. For those of you who sleep in regular, Western style beds with mattresses, the electric futon is similar to an electric blanket, except the futon (Japanese style, of course), heats up and not the blanket. I don't have electric blankets. It would be redundant. I do have electric rugs, too, though... There is no central heating in my house.

It may surprise some of you, but we do have electricity in Soul Society. It is the spirit particle version of electricity, but it's electricity all the same. Our technology is, in some ways, more advanced than yours, but in other ways, we are way behind. Our culture, architecture, and lifestyle is very much like feudal Japan (there is a big reason for this), so it's a strange mixture, from a modern Japanese person's point-of-view.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not really complaining that it's cold, but I do have to maintain body warmth to some degree. I just can handle the cold much better than most, and I hate the heat with intense passion. I guess what I mean to say is that I hate hot weather, but I like being warm and cozy in cold weather. It's been so cold here, it won't even snow. For it to snow, it has to be just below freezing. If it's too far below the freezing point, it won't snow, unless there is a ton of moisture in the air. Hence, it's really cold and dry here...

I'm very sorry I never got to lead you guys on that "field trip" to Soul Society. I got heavily side-tracked, and it would have put your lives in danger if you did visit... >.> The Captain-Commander is against bringing in human visitors. I have been way too lax in interacting with humans - something I should NOT be doing... I could use the excuse that Kurosaki Ichigo and his friends have made it easy and seem, well, normal, but they are really the exception to the rules...

I'm very sorry.
