Keeping Busy
I've been commuting back and forth from Soul Society to Earth a lot lately, and I'm finding myself staying over on the human side more and more often. It's keeping me from fulfilling my duties hands-on in Seireitei, but I have a lot to take care of here, as well. I left Matsumoto in charge of the Tenth Division while I'm away here on Earth, but she's still responsible for making sure that I get all the paperwork and any copies that need my attention. She's responsible for taking care of things that I don't need to look at, personally, and after my last visit there (last night, actually), I saw a big pile on her desk that she had been neglecting. There was, however small bit of encouragement it may be, a small pile in her outbox. So... she's getting a little done, at least...
Last night she threw a summer night BBQ, one of her pasttimes. Captain Kyouraku brought the sake, and a bunch of shinigami got drunk. I think people enjoyed themselves, and the food was halfway decent with Nanao's help at the pot. I did make a few inquiries to the First Division about the possibility of a rogue shinigami organization, but they said they'd get back to me on that. My preliminary investigation has already commenced, but I'm guessing I'm going to have to take a more personal approach. I was hoping to avoid this. I'll ask Captain Soi Fon for help if the First Division lieutenant doesn't get back to me in two days.
