Okay, this is probably a very stupid question, but if you choose the DIY table, do you have to decide which prompts you want to use in advance or just decide as you go along?

You have to decide which prompts you want to use in advance. :)

Ok, another stupid question: do you accept stories written in different languages than English?

Interesting question. Yes, you can post stories in other languages, but your header (the info about the story and the link to it that you post to this community) should be in English. Also, identify which language the story is in. That should be sufficient. :)

Okay, question: If I claimed a General series, can some of my stories include an OC or do they need to be from the series? Should I have specified this on my claim?

If you claim General Series, it is okay to use an OC. In fact, OC's can be used in all stories as long as the specific claim is used/referenced somehow. :)

Is there a masterlist of fandioms to write from or can we chose our own?

You can choose whatever fandom you like. :)

If I decide to write when I have time I'll probably end up chosing "The Mentalist" fandom since it's my current one to write fic.

If I claim three characters, do all three characters have to appear in each chapter? For example, if I write a 5 chapter story and one character only appears in 2 chapters, can the other 3 chapters fill a prompt or not?

If you claim more than one character, they do not all have to appear in every story/chapter. However, the missing character should be referenced somehow. Someone talks about them, thinks about them, the narrator mentions where they are, that sort of thing.
