Organize your notes software

Tenners!  You may remember a month or so ago in chat when we were talking about how to organize our research.  I've finally found a tool that works for me and I wanted to share.

Now, my former organization system consists of putting all my research in one stack beside my bed.  But with the amount of research needed for my WIP, I needed to step it up a notch.  But not too many notches, elaborate systems don't work for me.

My answer turns out to be EverNote, which, bonus, is FREE!   (I did look into OneNote, but the Mac version was pricey!)

EverNote is a program where you stick all your notes, clippings, photos, even video and sound.  You can tag each entry as you do a livejournal entry, for ease of finding later, but even if you don't, the search tools are powerful.  (It will even search for text inside images.)  You can put your notes in multiple notebooks, and sub-notebooks.  You can review things visually, iPhoto style.  The online version synches effortlessly with the the desktop version, which is handy for  working in libraries and the like.

There is a paid version, too, though I'm not clear what additional features it offers.  I may sign up simply as a gesture of gratitude.  I LOVE this program.
