Tenners Tell All: Casting Call

Nov 04, 2009 10:42

I am sure that most of the Tenners will agree that one of the question we get asked the most is: "Who would be your dream cast for a movie of your book?"  It's a fun question. We all like to put a face to the characters in our books.  We all like to daydream about our books being made into movies, and fantasize that the director would actually ASK for our input when it came to casting.  So how about it Tenners, anyone want to play casting agent for their own books?  And we are talking DREAM cast here, so if you want to go back in time and pluck an older actor back when he was still a teen, or if you want to go forward in time and recruit an actress who has aged a bit, heck, you can even choose someone who's dead if you want.

I'll go first, and I'll even supply pictures! (Squee!!)

My dream cast for THE DARK DIVINE:

1. Daniel Kalbi, the long lost friend who has returned home after a 3 year disapearance, claiming that he wants to put his life back together--but is that all he really wants?

My first choice would be a younger Taylor Kitsch (from his COVENANT days, or from the first season of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS)

Second choice: Maybe, possibly, I'd give Zac Efron a crack at the role--that is if he could be aged a few more years and  bad-boyed-up enough

2. Jude Divine-- The brother, the golden boy, the one who knows what really happened the night Daniel Kalbi disapeared

First choice: A young Tom Welling from the early SMALLVILLE years.

Second choice: Chase Crawford from GOSSIP GIRL

3. Grace Divine--the good girl torn between her loyalty to her brother Jude and her attraction to their dangerous ex-friend Daniel

First choice:  I've got my eye on Emma Roberts (Niece of Julia Roberts.  Starred in NANCY DREW and HOTEL FOR DOGS).  She's mostly known for playing younger characters, but I think she's maturing into someone who could play the perfect 17 year old Grace.

Okay, Tenners, it's your turn! Tell us about your dream cast.
