Favorite Bit of Writing Advice: Get the editor off your shoulder and just do it.

Favorite Part of Writing: Getting totally lost in my story and/or characters, so that time flies when I am writing and I can't stop thinking about the premise, the plot and the characters when I'm not writing. And I LOVE my critique group.

Least favorite part of writing: Typing. I am the wordls' wrsot tipyst. I think much much faster than I can type. I am also a terrible proof-reader, so on reviews, I often miss typos. Hence, I am a typo queen.

Outline or let it fly? As an OCD, type-A organizer, I outline…a lot. (Okay, so maybe I let it fly… a little..sometimes… when no one is watching.)

5 things about me:
1. I am secretly a TV Detective, and a superhero. (No, I am not in therapy for this.)
2. I love animals, autumn, Halloween, the number 10, the color orange, the mountains and chocolate.
3. I think mean people suck!
4. Besides writing, I spend time with my family, pets, and day job.
5. I cheated in 7th grade typing and now I’m paying for it.

Synopsis of KELLY QUINN’S SECRET COOKING CLUB:
While cleaning the attic one day, Kelly Quinn, a curious sixth grader with a passion for cooking, finds a book of secret recipes bearing a warning: Beware of the Law of Returns. Using the book, Kelly starts a cooking club with her best friends, clumsy roller-skating Darbie and fashionista soccer star Hannah. The dishes from the book are delish, but they seem linked to strange occurrences at home, at school and on the soccer field.
Coincidence? Kelly Quinn’s theory: There is no such thing as coincidence. So, she devises an experiment involving a certain sixth-grade hottie. Unfortunately, things backfire in a big way. Kelly and her friends try to return life to normal, but their efforts are complicated by an annoying little brother, know-it-all Charlotte (blah!) Barney, and the ANtS soccer team tryouts. Just when the girls think they have everything under control, they don’t.
