Dongwoo sighed tiredly. His father condition is not getting better and how he shall tell a lie to his mother, sister and aunty about the non-existent medicine classes is also wearing him out.
As he lied tiredly in his bed while closing his eyes waiting for sleep to come, he can hear a knock on his bedroom door. Assuming it as his sister, he announced a loud “come in” in response.
“What’s up? Is it dinner time already? Or is mother calling out to me?”
After several moment of silence the answer, “Nope, but your lonely boyfriend is the answer,” made Dongwoo open his eyes straight away and sit up instantly, causing his forehead to bump into something equally hard.
A loud “Awwww!!” from both people echoing in the small room.
“Channie!” Dongwoo yelled while rubbing his aching forehead. “Why are you here?”
“Ah, it is hurt, Dongwoo-hyung!” Channie whined back while holding his chin, his eyes filled with tears already. “And why are you asking why am I here? Am I not allowed to see you?” he retorted while putting up his best puppy look.
Dongwoo forced a smile and said, “Of course not. That is not the problem,”
“Really? Why are you looking so annoyed?”
“What? No? I am just surprised to see you here,” Dongwoo said carefully.
Chansik smile at him and launched a big glomp slash hug towards Dongwoo, “Aren’t you happy to see me?”
Dongwoo letting out a small laugh while rubbing Chansik’s back slowly and mumbled a yes in response.
“I miss you so much, hyung. Do you miss me?”
“Yes, of course,”
“Do you dream of me?”
“Yes,”
“Well, you better be!” Chansik laughed again while sniffing Dongwoo’s neck. “You smelled good like usual, hyung,”
“Hey, hey that’s ticklish, stop it,”
Chansik pouted again at Dongwoo’s response, “It is only once a month, why can’t I sniff my boyfriend?”
Forced boyfriend, perhaps, Dongwoo mentally answered, as he remembered the way Chansik crying after the said boy’s confession rejected by Dongwoo. It happened several weeks before he passed high school. Afraid that his all time favourite hyung receive tons of love confession in the graduation day and/or taken by some random girl, Chansik decided to confess his undying love for Dongwoo which has been stored up inside his chest for as long as he remember. Can’t receive a rejection as an answer, the spoilt boy decided to cry for hours until Dongwoo finally agree to go out with him.
In secrecy, of course.
Remembering the event now, makes Dongwoo regretted of playing the role of nice hyung from next door. He had played the role for ever since he can remember, since Channie is the younger boy who always follows his every movement.
Who would have thought he will receive a love confession in return? Nope, Dongwoo never even dreamt about it.
He continued to talk back to the excited boy who hugged him full time and by the looks of it, do not intend of letting him go.

Dongwoo jerked in surprise when his phone vibrated in his pocket. He fished it out and froze when he saw the caller’s identity. Unconsciously, he looked at Chansik who eat happily while chatting with his sister.
He excused himself from the table and decided to answer the phone in his room.
“Hello, Jinyoung,”
“No baby this time, Shinwoo-ah?” Jinyoung asked.
Dongwoo laughed at the playful tone Jinyoung used. It is not usual for the boy to use such tone. Naturally, he is a serious person after all.
“What is wrong my baby-Jinyoung-ah?” Dongwoo asked sweetly.
The answer he received makes him smile right away, “Nothing, I just feel lonely without your constant teasing and greasiness...”
“I can sense a pout coming!” Dongwoo exclaimed, “Is the mighty Jinyoung pouting because he missed me already?”

Chansik stares into the space in silent as he hears the sweet nothing conversation inside Dongwoo’s room.
How I wish he can talk to me like that...
Chansik knew, always knew deep in his heart that Dongwoo is not his and perhaps will never be his.
But he hopes someday Dongwoo will look at him differently.
Chansik knew about the fact that Dongwoo is taking music major and the existence of the “Seoul boy” too. A drunken Sunwoo is all it takes, anyway.
But he hopes it’s all just gibberish Sunwoo mutters in his drunken state.
He hopes and hopes. He hopes for many things anyway, and mainly it concerns a boy two years his senior who already owned his heart since forever.
Chansik put up a smile. He hoped it is not a forced smile and swing open Dongwoo’s door.
“Hyung, your mother is calling!”
Well, two can definitely play the game anyway...
