Why is Kibum running to find his Kevin?

The reason he's running to find "his" Kevin is because all of the ones he had encountered were "wrong". He found flaws in all of them, and in his mind, "his" Kevin is someone that is agreeable and won't do anything to disturb their happy relationship.

When something goes wrong (whether it's his fault or Kevin's), he just runs away from the problem instead of facing it head on. As he travels to different universes, the situation is seemingly getting worse, and ultimately ending in his demise.

The last scene is his epiphany: he finally realizes that all of the Kevins were the right ones. While they all have flaws, and while his relationship with them is sometimes not ideal, he needs to work out the problems, together with Kevin instead of just running away, thinking that a perfect Kevin is waiting for him.

This is just one interpretation, but the main theme is that running away from a flawed person to find someone perfect doesn't equal happiness

I like to think of him as "universe-hopping". 8D But after reading s2_otter's comment, time traveling can also be another way of interpreting his travels.

But to be honest, I don't quite get the part where Kevin said “I’m not going to chase you anymore, hyung,”.
How come this Kevin knows that Kibum's teleporting (or sth) to different places/times/universes?

It wasn't really meant to be taken literally, at least from Kevin's point of view.

What he means by "I'm not going to chase you anymore, hyung" is that he's tired of chasing Kibum whenever he runs away from a fight/problem/other bad situations.

It's not that this Kevin knows about the traveling, but it's that he's familiar with Kibum's tendency to try to escape "reality". In a final, sort of desperate and twisted act, Kevin finds a way to make him stay.

I think it's true that there are many universe. Or maybe not, maybe it's just time travelling, moving forward in time. All the stories link, Kevin did something wrong probably, he goes to the beach and tries to get Kibum to forgive him, but no Kibum wouldn't and he found comfort in Eli. Eli wasn't the right one so he tried Alexander. Kevin got tired of the replacement and kills Kibum, just so his body would always be there.
Did Kibum run away from all the right Kevin, only to find that all the Kevins were the right one, but he had to make them right with love?

Is it only Kevin that can see Kibum disappearing? Or is it that the time that passes had been so long that he doesn't want to play cat and mouse with Kibum anymore. End this chase, tie Kibum down.
I don't know, but this is great, really.
And the fact it made me think so much with endless possibilities, it's awesome even :D <33

Ahaha, I intended for it to just be universe-hopping, but I really liked your interpretation! All of the scenes were meant to be loose, and to portray different situations that Kibum may deemed as a problem, but I really liked how you found a sort of connection to all of them. ^^

Oh I just love this one as well! I saw the interpretation you gave and it was very close to mine. :) It's like all the Kevins are actually waiting for him, because all the Kibums are just too stubborn. And I can only think of two sequels (which I'd like to share if you don't mind)..

1) He'll wake up as this evil Kevin puts him in bandages so he's still alive and somehow work things out. OR
2) The Kevin from this universe will kill all other Kibums passing by him, thinking that a Kibum should stay.

Oh, my, I love your ideas for the sequels! They're so twisted~ ♥ I could actually see a story for both of them, and maybe I could even turn this whole story into a three-part kind of thing, using both of those sequels. You wouldn't mind if I write them (giving you credits, of course)?

Of course, I have too much on my plate right now, so I'm not even sure how much I can accomplish. /workaholic
