sheds and other non shed stuff
Boring day. The only mild diversion was fending off Jocelyn, who was trying to make me eat figs. I fucking hate figs. Then Robin strolled over to show me a picture of his new shed. How someone can get excited enough to take a picture of a shed is beyond me, but to actually waft it around in a proud and enthusiastic manner is a bit disturbing. I also found out this morning that drinking two pints of espresso strength coffee and a Red Bull can induce the symptoms of a mild heart attack.
Yesterday I broke free from the culinary shackles of Pot Noodle and went on a proper food shop for the first time in….wow…nearly six months. Cath almost shed a tear because she reckons I haven’t been looking after myself very well for a while. I don’t usually agree with such observations, but she is unfortunately correct. I also bought a bottle of Vosene for urgent dispatch stateside. Better not get that mixed up with my bottle of habanero Tabasco sauce.
I had a minor run in with my boss today as all my holidays I’ve booked for June and July were accepted as tentative. Did this mean they would un-tentatively reimburse me for flights and accommodation if they decide to cancel my time off at the last minute? The dates were all accepted in full before I left for home.
