Today was my cousin Vanessa's baptism. She's 5 months and the cutest thing! Big blue eyes and loves to chew on fingers. Her older sister, Kaitlyn, spent most of the day with me, holding my hand with her sticky fingers. Adorable. Kaitlyn is growing up to be a wonderful little girl (well so far at her two years of age). Then I curled up to take a nap, and about half an hour later i felt something wet against my nose. It was Kaitlyn giving me an olive, charming! She's so sweet. My goodness.
The power finally came back on too! Rolling blackouts here, have you lost power? Its been 115 here, hot and sticky. I hope it isn't global warming, that makes me sad. The earth is too beautiful a place to destroy. Onto other things, I dyed my hair dark brown, the closest it's been to my real hair colour in many years. & I did a smidge of bang trimming (see photo). I think it looks rather charming. The sun had made me my beautiful olive brown, thank you Italian genes! Its hard to believe summer is going to be over so soon, this has been the best one of my life!
