Day one is frantic. Squall's eyes burn with a promise and a need and a whole lot of anger that he keeps all locked up there. He got the note in the morning, the minute he woke up, the minute he realised he'd fallen asleep and Seifer hadn't come to him.
Quistis tries to restrain Squall's anger.
Unwisely.
Seven hours after recieving the note, he has a plan, he has a back up plan, and he has one of the kidnappers on the phone. He demands Seifer back. He keeps them on the phone with his anger and his cold cold words and his demands, while Quistis and Xu frantically trace the call.
He lets it go just one day more so that the kidnappers don't realise that they have the location. But he starts getting ready. Twenty-five hours after he got the note, Lionheart is sharper than it's ever been.
See, he loves Seifer. More than anything. More than these people imagine. They thought Squall and Seifer were just friends. That Squall might even let them kill Seifer rather than pay ransom for his life. But he's going to get his lover back. Because he cares about him more than anyone ever seems to guess. They should know that Squall is going to do whatever to get Seifer back, but they don't.
And they're going to regret not doing their research a little more in depth.
Squall will make absolutely sure of that.
Twenty-six hours after recieving the note, Squall is on his way to the location, with his SeeDs and supplies in tow. It's an eighteen hour journey without an airship, and the Ragnarok is in use, so Squall simply went for the eighteen hour trip.
It'd give him time to get creative about the coming siege.
Forty-five hours after recieving the note, Squall is at the place where the kidnappers are. And he sets up a siege.
It doesn't take them long to get inside the building, and only a little longer to work their way up through the floors to the top floor, where the kidnappers sit panicking.
Seventy-one and a half hours after knowing Seifer has been kidnapped, Squall has wrung Seifer's exact location and the key to the lock on the door out of one of the kidnappers. Two minutes after that, the kidnapper is unconscious and being arrested.
Exactly seventy-two hours after recieving the note, Squall has Seifer back.
Approximately seventy-two hours and one minute after recieving the note, Squall is kissing Seifer.
