Brown, mismatched eyes met steely, determained emerald eyes. They fought for dominace and the right to be called number one on the ship called Bebop. Suddenly, the man with the brown eyes smirked and the woman with the green eyes let out a hiss of annoyance. "No way!" Faye Valentine insisted angrily, slamming her petite hand down on the metal table.
Her tacky gold bracelets emitted a soft ping! as it clattered onto the table noisly, disrupting the silence. "I win," Spike Spiegel purred, holding out a hand with his palm open. "Pay up. You owe me three packs of cigarettes and 20,000 woolongs." Faye cursed under her breath, her eyes narrowed dangerously.
Stalling for time, Faye bit out, "Ok, cowboy. One more go. Whoever wins this gets anything they want from the winner. Deal?" Faye stuck out her hand and Spike eyed it suspiciously, before agreeing to her little bet. "Fine, Faye. Only one more game of war!" She grinned at him and stuck out her tongue playfully.
Time passed and Spike grew more and more flustered with the situation. Faye, amazingly, had managed to come back from her losing streak and win their last game. "You cheated!" He accused angrily, ready to pull out tufts of his green hair. She let out a seductive purr, sending him a lustful glance. "Of course I did, silly! I wanted to win our bet! Now, for my prize..."
She leaned in and yanked his chin close to her mouth, His chocolate eyes widened in shock as their lips were brought closer, until that epic moment when their lips met in a soft, simple kiss.
It lasted for only a second, because Faye Valentine was up in a flash, leaving Spike with a tingling feeling on his lips and a wink that promised more.
