(no subject)
So there are things that need to be accomplished and I strongly hope it will get done. With how it's been thus far, I'm pretty sure it will be done. I've kept expectations low for that reason. I have been pleasantly surprised with this mentality.
Although I had to start from square one with the various bands I left, I feel it was for the better. The sacrifice made at the beginning is far better than enduring the uncertain future and unsatisfying experience of playing only mediocrity.
I have a couple auditions in place: both classical and rock-oriented coming up. I'm trying to ever-expand my teaching as well... I'll make a impression in this city before I move on with my life.
Teach for America has some warmer teaching locations that interest me... however the commitment will need to be strong before I could even force Steven to go with me. Both our music would suffer--- we'd have to leave it all behind.
But it's all good as for now. I know I haven't failed yet. So i'll keep trying and work hard at this..
