(no subject)
Well I didn't make the beach guard team this summer.. I can't say I'm really surprised, but that isn't to say I'm not incredibly disappointed... Training and competing with guard team last summer was so much fun.. and such a great experience. Goddamn all these new young kids this year.. Really I'm having a bit of a hard time accepting the fact that when it comes down to it in this case I'm just too old and too slow! :-P what a horrifying humbling blow :\ uugh...
Besides that I don't have much to complain about, things are working out well in all other areas. The summer is shaping up nicely.. Westboro beach is really chill & yesterday while taking a quick cool-off swim I found a 10 and a 5 dollar bill on the bottom on the river (yey random luck!), also I learned yesterday I'm getting a pay increase and retro-pay from January/07 on (and I worked a ton so far this year) and things have been going quite nicely with a guy I have been seeing (& am quite fond of) for a little while now... (:
