I listened as the world died in a lustrous blaze of fire and death above me. I had always thought my paranoid father to be just that, paranoid, but when the bombs dropped and mother died, I regretted ever questioning him. When the bombs dropped I was but only a child of six, that was twenty years ago, since then my father has died leaving me all alone, and with supplies beginning to run low I’ll soon have to venture out into the burnt and hellish remains of what we once called earth. I wonder what lies in wait above.
