She took off running away from him, not wanting to hear the words she’d heard so many times before. She knew he was trailing right behind but she didn’t care.
He grabbed her hand and yanked her back into his arms. She struggled and wouldn’t look him in the eyes.
“Please don’t say it,” she begged. “You know it’s only because of the spell.”
“No. I loved you before all of that. And spell or not, you are still beautiful.”
Looking into his eyes, she knew he was completely truthful. He leaned in and gently brushed her lips with his.
