This one's not a prompt, but more of a challenge.

Have you ever wondered who your fellow writers are in this community? Why not go ahead and introduce yourselves; we might all make some new friends in the process. In the spirit of things, see if you can introduce yourself in exactly 100 words.

I'll go first. )

I'm Australian born and raised, though my mother's Canadian. I'm in my mid-twenties, a recent graduate in classics and ancient history. In the real world, I'm a librarian with a passion for all history. Online, I spend most of my time roleplaying. I'm creative; I knit, sew, sing, and play music as well as writing.

I love science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction: anything with strong world-building and a touch of escapism. I started out in Star Wars fandom, but my current fandoms are Torchwood, Doctor Who, Stargate: Atlantis, Stargate: SG-1, Firefly, and a handful of others.

An American, I was born in the south and now live in a far more urban area in Maryland. I'm an aspiring writer, a method actor at heart, a gamer and roleplayer, a brittle-shelled cynic with a mushy center, and a world-class procrastinator.

I write less original work than I want to. When it comes to fanfic, I write primarily Cowboy Bebop; Battlestar Galactica; Lost; Baccano!; Final Fantasy VII, X, and XII; Y: The Last Man; and Dragon Age: Origins. I'm a sucker for characterization, characters with shades of gray, and both reading and writing a good turn of phrase.

I’m from the Mountain West of the USA, but originally L.A. Married 31 years, my four kids are the ages of most of the people I know from LJ and fandoms. This summer we’ve had very ill parents and a very new grandbaby, so I haven’t done much writing. But when I do, I rp and write mostly HP fanfic. I’ve made many friends through the HP fandom.
When I’m feeling rather gutsy, I’ll write a fanfic in Secret Garden, Horatio Hornblower, Jane Austen, or Anne of Green Gables.
I love being an English teacher, drawing, singing, and creating things with beads.

I'm in my early thirties and living in holland. I've been blind since birth.
Originally I was going to do something administrative in the field of medicine. Instead I've got a kind of mundane part-time job packing things in a factory. It's a small part of my life now and the rest of my time I spend reading or writing. I also take singing lessons and I love to listen to all kinds of music. I have been mostly writing in the harry potter fandom. this year though, i quietly started spreading my wings. Always looking for new territory.

I never thought I'd live this long.

Grim, isn't it? But when I try to cull everything down to a few words, that's what comes out first. I'm 25, nearly 26, and I don't know what the fuck. Where do I see myself in five years? I don't know. Why does having a past make it difficult to have a future?

I write because it's vital to me. Language is for getting your point across, it's no good if you don't use it to its full ability. The right words paint unfading images in your mind. Doing so? My idea of success.
