Mouths were sliding against mouths, bodies against bodies, and Cole and Cooper felt love for arguably the first time. There was suddenly no time to waste. That night they relished the feel of a man’s skin on theirs, the fusing of bodies in rhythmic bliss. Were they wise to it, they’d realize the pansy had thereupon worn off, but this didn’t stop Cole from declaring his love for Cooper in front of his homophobic parents.
Because even without that damned flower, friends was no longer enough.
