Gwen stands unwaveringly, devotedly, by Arthur's bedside in Hunith's hut.
He is sleeping, resting, but her heart is pounding so loudly she is sure it will wake him.
It is a physical ache, deep in her breast, that she hasn't the right to go to him, to reach out and touch his face. Will she be always almost losing him?
He stirs. Awake.
"Guinevere?" He looks bewildered, as if she is a dream or a mirage.
And hopeful. It's the hope in his eyes that nearly does her in.
She goes to him.
And the world starts spinning once again.
