Rose Weasley was ever so happy she and her cousin Al were starting Hogwarts together.
She felt a bit protective of him even though he was older than her by a few months. Of course, everyone knew witches matured faster than wizards.
After they were sorted and she'd found a seat at the bench next to him, and they'd taken turns waving up to the head table at Professor Longbottom and Hagrid, she leant in and asked what had taken so long.
Al smiled and thought about the letter he'd write later to his dad.
"We talked about my name."
