There's awesome symmetry here, or I'm not sure if that's the word I'm looking for, but hell, I'm going to use it anyway. Anyway, symmetry with the whole exponentially the states getting higher with each event she remembers, and more action toward the relationship in the prior events, and now, "When everything is at stake" they're at the point where the relationship doesn't need the action.
