So my family grew a lot these past few years- not so much human-wise but pet-wise.
[This is a long post so enjoy the pictures. You can skip the text or leave at any time, I won't be offended!]
I've got three brothers. The eldest one adopted a black tie cat named Colby about 3 or 4 years ago. He's a big fatty, weighs 15 pounds! I remember when he was just a skinny, lanky little thing.
Second eldest pretty much "owns" Moochey, a crossed-eyed Siamese (she's about 17-18 years old. We've had her since I was a kid and now she's just a mean ol' grouch).
Finally, my third brother took in Bubbles (named after that guy for the trailer park show) a year and a half ago.
And me? Well I've taken care of many pets, from parakeets to guinea pigs to random little creatures like ladybugs and spiders (though I usually toss them outside in the garden after a few days). I've mentioned my precious baby, Narla, a few times in my LSK fics. Here's a reminder pic:
So she past away 2/16/2014. (Can never forget that date...) About a month of yearning to take care of an animal again, I adopted Daiki, a Halfmoon Betta male.
Then last spring (2016), I adopted Haru, a Rose Tail Betta male. Male Betta fish are very territorial and will fight each other if in the same tank. Funny enough, the 3 year old Daiki ended up in the 2.5 gallon tank and the tiny Haru happily claimed the 3.5 gallon tank.
My parents took care of Haru until I moved into my new apartment in June. My dad was sad to see him go, fish have a real calming effect on people. But it was tough on my mom because she was the one taking care on him. (I'd go home half the time just to clean his tank.)
Now for the reason I wanted to post this- last Saturday, December 2016, I adopted a 7 week old kitten!

Her name's Mimi (pronounced me-me):
There's so much I can say about her but I'd rather just show you a bunch of pics and let you ask the questions. Just know that it’s like taking care of a rambunctious kid who doesn’t understand how to sit still. These pics were very hard to get. Videos were easier to take.
Oh, and this is Meow, my friend's ferret who I adopted the same day as a picked up Mimi (My friend's two year old kid named him, thinking he was a cat.
They picked him up at a shelter about 6 months ago but just moved into a new apartment that only always dogs. Without thinking, I volunteered to take him in. I don't even know if they're allowed here... I'll probably make a post about all this another day. For now, take a look at Mimi's Christmas gift. I bought it on amazon and had to assemble it all by myself with her running all around my feet. (Sorry, you'll have to look at them sideways)
Finally got her to sleep... then she woke up for this.
Night everybody, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Years, Happy whatever-you-celebrate!
