She couldn’t believe that she was doing this. Head girl and sneaking out…well, not really sneaking out. She was walking towards the pitch and she thought she had heard James say something about practice. That’s what her story was going to be if she got caught. What she really knew was that there was no practice tonight, but she wanted to go out and enjoy a beautiful Halloween night. She smiled at herself, glad that she had left the note for James. It was simple, but meant so much.
James:
7 pm, behind the Quidditch pitch. Bring your cloak.
She leaned against a tree there, watching the end of the sunset. Now all she had to do was wait and hoped that he showed up. As the twilight appeared, she wrapped her arms around herself, watching the beauty of the world around her. As she heard someone coming, she knew she didn’t have to wait that much longer as her eyes sparkled with happiness. It was odd, but she knew what she wanted - him. It had been a long time coming, but in the twilight of her school years, at least she would end them with love.
