Excellent chapter. They didn't scream at or assault each other. And Draco was nice. And rather pathetic. And heartbreaking: “When is everything going to get better? When will it all get easier?”
And she clearly isn't over him any more than he's over her.
You can do this (salvage this relationship). It's very believable.

Thanks. I would really like to do something to save the relationship and I'm still thinking about it - I just haven't quiet figured out how he is going to change and how he can prove it to her.

Maybe he should just try sincerity for once. Instead of trying to bully her back into the relationship.

Well, he seems bewildered enough about the fact that they haven't just gotten back together simply because he wants to. And I think he realizes now that she still loves him but will not take him back if he doesn't change.

I guess what I wonder is if he is hurting enough to change (if he is I'm not sure I've demonstrated that very well) - and if he is how can he prove it too her besides just words?

He isn't shaving or bathing or eating; sounds like he's hurting pretty badly to me. And she has to know that, just by looking at him. I think you demonstrated it very well. The last thing that Draco would give up is his good grooming! *lol*
