A door slammed on the second floor.
Neville winced and went back to the kitchen. “Sorry about that,” he said as he sat down again.
“She’s, um… going through a phase,” said Tracey.
“I see that,” said Pansy, shifting uncomfortably in her seat.
“Neville was just trying to tell her not to act up like that when we have guests,” Tracey said as she passed the bowl of peas to Percy.
“Maybe you should have had that conversation with her,” Neville sighed, poking at his food with his fork. “She listens to you more.”
“She does, doesn’t she?” Tracey smiled, looking more than a little smug.
Neville raised his eyebrows. “Fine,” he said, shrugging. “You can be the one to tell her she was an accident.”
