Wow. That thread of desperation running through the story is so powerful. It's all mixed up with longing, angst, and the overwhelming need to engulf what one yearns for. I like the progression and the pacing, plus the added jolt at the end when you realize that Ron must've been feeling the same thing all this time (if one substitutes in Lav & Hermione). And also the view she had of Harry; Harry is Love's Young Dream on his own so therefore she MUST be happy with him. It says something right there that she had the strength to go in another direction.
Wow! There's actually action! xD I didn't completely understand what you were going for but the desperation was expressed nicely and I really like the Harry/Ginny part for the 'This must be happily ever after'
I wanted to write more action, but I couldn't. I should practice by trying to write some smut. Hmm, there's that prompt "Naked"... But really, it's terribly difficult.
Thanks :) And I love you so much for saying stuff like "I didn't understand what you were going for", because I promise, I'll try to learn about that and try to be more clear :)
I don't think I'd want to see too much action. Or at least it's nice to see you start out with none and then putting in a little more action and maybe someday write smut. The build-up is good for the audience (read: me). Ron and Ginny didn't have smeckz after 500 words, either.
Yeah, it's very hard to give, but I know that artists *need* and *want* critique. It's just, delicate, you know?
Ooh, very nice. I love the style, the series of thematically related vignettes- I think it's such a good way to draw parallels and contrasts between characters and events. Lovely work. And the R/G was wonderful, real and raw.
