New Beginnings.
Sunday. Post-freedom weekend.
So begins my new foray into the wonderful world of livejournal. I find myself with little to do but stare at porn at the later hours of my insomniatic (if thats a word) nights, and this might be a good distraction for the time being. It's the 29th today, leaving exactly 4 weeks until I ship out for the Air Force. Last month it seemed so far away...now it feels like tomorrow.
It feels like I have a million people to see before I go...with no realistic time to see them in---For those unaware...I've joined the USAF as a linguist to hieghten my chances of joining the CIA, and I'll be gone for at least 5-6 years...and I highly doubt I'll be visiting home. This means everyone of my generation will be out of college...some may even be married, and even less...but some still, might even have kids. A funny thing to ponder. While I'm out trying to become James Bond, the world keeps turning without me, and everyone I've grown to admire will slowly change. Reminds me of Brad Pitt leaving his family to travel the world in Legends of the Fall only to come home and find the girl he loved had married his brother.
Weekend Wrap-up
A decent time was to be had at the Nikolovski house on Friday the 26th, even though the official day was supposed to be the next day. A small get-together turned into a 40 person larger get-together in no time. Not nearly up to party standards, but police showed up to the scene in any case due to some idiocy in my front lawn around 3am---thus cancelling the bash scheduled for Saturday. Good work dumbasses.
Saturday was peaceful. Kate and Tony came from Central, Renae got back from Texas, and the regulars showed up for a night of cards and heavy petting.
Today was more of the same, we watched Legends of the Fall again, Lauren came back from Eastern, and the regulars once more showed up for chill out night.
Not much more to say, it being 5:15 in the morning. I'm sure I'll rant about something tomorrow. Keep your eyes glued.
