So, I have some spare time tonight and I was thinking … why not set up a drabble post? Since there’s only three of you on the f-list so far … weeeell, I don’t think I’ll be getting excessive prompts that I’ll be unable to fill. It turns self-destructive within a few weeks. Giotto stops remembering to eat when he sees Lambo sitting in Tsuna’s lap during breakfast, during dinner. Giotto stops remembering to drink when he walks into the kitchen and witnesses the Gokudera boy trying (and failing) to help wash dishes, the two of them standing side by side and laughing nevertheless. Giotto stops remembering to breathe when the boy, so like his old friend Cozart, presses Tsuna against a wall when he thinks no one is home, that no one is looking.
Giotto finally snaps. He grabs the boy’s shoulder and pulls him back, far away from Tsuna and what he now understood was his. Enma recoils at the blow to his stomach and Tsuna is shouting, “Stop it!” But neither of them are listening and Enma’s eyes are full of an anger that nearly hurts when seen coming from eyes that look eerily similar to his old friend’s. He doesn’t hesitate to draw back his fist again, but this time Tsuna physically asserts himself, coming between the two of them before the fight can reach an all-out brawl.
“What’s gotten into you?” Tsuna wants to know, asking in a low whisper. “I - I wasn’t doing anything wrong. Neither was Enma! We were just goofing off -” The rambling questions are cut short as Giotto moves forward, closing the short distance between them, and presses his lips forcefully against the young Decimo’s. It’s a dry, bitter kiss and nothing like the ones he has imagined, but he has the urge to deepen it regardless and take what should always, would always be only his. Then he sees fright in those Tsuna’s wide brown eyes and pulls back. A tired sigh escapes him and he knows that now, because of this foolish mistake, he will have to work even harder to ensure Tsuna knows just who he belongs to.
