"A TEASPOON"

Dante looked on warily, plagued by images of fairytale poisons.

“The water brings out the subtler flavours,” Sonnet murmured in explanation. He held what looked like a teaspoon of sugar over the glass. “Watch.”

Dante did as he was instructed. He watched the clear trickle of icy water as Sonnet tipped it over the sugar and into the reservoir glass.

Its contents turned slowly milky and inviting.

Dante was powerless to resist.

Okay, I confess... this community kind of slipped my mind. I have returned, however, and I come bearing a slightly overdue drabble! (Which, by the way, is about absinthe, not poison.)
