The snow was cold in our faces. It stung only slightly as it made contact. I was on my way to making us crash just from my laughter alone.
"Kyaahhhh, TEUKKIEE!!" This just made me laugh harder but I slowed down (just a tad) to humor him.
We were all bundled up in our winter gear, hats, mittens, scarves, goggles, and boots; the whole shebang. His little mittened hands were wrapped securely around my waist and his cheek pressed against my fluffy coat as he yelled.
"We're almost there Wookie!" I smiled as the little cabin came into view.
"THANK GOOODDD!!!!" I laughed again, gasping as I barely evaded a rock.
We sat snug in our little winter outfits, sweaters, scarves, and fluffy socks. Our hands were full with giant mugs of hot chocolate and the small fire we'd made in the cabin's fireplace lit up our world.
"This isn't as bad as I'd thought it would be, Teukkie." Wook mumbled next to me.
"Of course! I have excellent planning skills!" I smiled to him and he looked pleasantly content with me.
"Although..."
"Although?" What could have gone wrong?
"That motorcycle was a bit... terrifyingly horrific... but fun! Fun, of course." He corrected himself when he'd seen my slightly hurt face.
It instantly returned to a smile.
"Hurry Wookie! Hurry!" I giggled as I jumped up and down, watching him scramble to get to me from the cabin porch.
"I'm coming, I'm comin!" he laughed as he finally reached me. I had two sparklers in my hands and I was in the process of lighting them in the bonfire we had in the backyard. The soft snow crunched beneath my jumping feet.
"You get it, Teukkie?" His breath made a cloud in the air as he kneeled beside me, and I followed suit.
"Ohhh! Look! It's lit! It's lit! Grab it!" I squealed and he giggled as he took one, hanging it upside down with his little mittened hand.
"Wooooookkiiieeeee. Woooooookkkiiieeee!" I called his name, skipping down the brightly lit, white as the snow outside, hallways. The light blue carpeting was soft on my bare feet.
I found the door to his room and stepped inside.
"Wookie." I called again, smile blending in with the room. I quickly hopped onto his bed and bounced once or twice, enjoying the feel of the soft, blue comforter that kept Wookie from me.
"Wookie, I have something for you." I rubbed his back trying to wake him gently.
"Wake up, Wookie."
I heard a small moan as he uncovered his head and innocently glanced around the room.
"Ah!!" He flinched, startled at how close I was to his face.
"Good morning!" I smiled widely at his bedhead. "I made breakfast!" He just laughed and fell back into his pillows as he rubbed his face.
"Alright, hyung. I'll be right there."
"You're getting slower and slower Wookie, you'll never catch up!" I called behind me, hands cupped around my mouth like a megaphone.
"Hyuuung! WAIITT!!!" I laughed and stopped a minute, leaning against a tree, boot kicking bits of snow.
"Thank you!" he smiled as he finally caught up.
"Geez, I've been waiting for HOURS." I sighed and jokingly dangled my arms and sluched my shoulders. "Hours!"
He laughed, "Shut up hyung!" and lightly pushed my shoulder.
Then he bolted up the hill.
"Now who won't catch who, hyung?!" He smiled back down to me. That little devil.
"Nooooo! Eviiilll!!!" I yelled racing after him through the trees and falling snow.
"This is a nice little campspace, Teukkie." He breathed into his hands as he checked the contents of the pot over the fire again.
"I hoped it would be this nice. Waaahhh, so peaceful!" I yelled as I fell back into the snow and started masterfully creating a snowangel.
I got up seconds later.
"Look, Wookie!" I told him and pointed, then ran around the side, plopped down and made another snow angel. I got back up and stood beside them. "Teukkie and Wookie!" I giggled as I pointed and jumped up and down in the snow again.
I stopped, though, when a snowball collided with my chest. "Look! Snowy Teukkie!" he fell over backwards laughing as I bent down and grabbed amo.
"LAME!" I yelled as the snoball hit his left knee that was currently the only thing above ground level.
"I know." Cue Wookie's sad face and Teukkie's laughter. "Now let's eat!!"
"Teukkie! Come outside!" I looked out the bay window as I drank some Hot Chocolate and saw RyeoWook jumping around in the snow, waving to me, his hat's little puffball bouncing with him. I grabbed my fluffy blue coat and my other gear and prepared myself for more snoball fights.
Then I bolted out the front door of the cabin into the bright snow covered yard, careful not to spill the cocoa.
"What?" I asked, wondering what had happened.
"Wait here for a moment." he smiled as he motioned for me to stay as he ran off behind some trees.
I took to sipping my hot chocolate until he came back carrying a small little pine tree, all decorated and lit up perfectly. I was so surprised that I inhaled a slight amount of cocoa, choking on it for a moment.
"Ohhhh Wookie, where did you get that??" I shrieked, recovered, as I ran to him through the snow.
"I made it hyung. Isn't it pretty?" His smile was the biggest I'd seen. I jumped up and down more as I hugged his side.
"It's perfect!"
"I thought this would make your vacation complete before we have to go home tomorrow, hyung." He told he shyly.
"Of course this vacation has been complete, either way." I grabbed his hand and led him back to the house to find a new spot for our pretty little tree.
This will always be the Winter vacation to remember. ♥
