When I Get Older I Will Be Stronger
Game 1 of the World Cup is on ESPN right now!!! South Africa versus Mexico...forty minutes in and it's still 0-0. I'm glad...Sud Africa is giving Mexico a run for their money :D It's a slow, but good game.
Oh yes, and completely unrelated to soccer...SOMEBODY MORPHED MAO AND YU-NA INTO ONE FACE AND DUDE I REALLY WANT TO MARRY HER OR SOMETHING.
As for her name...I think she would have a first name that worked well in both Japanese and Korean. I'm thinking Hana since it's a name in both languages meaning "flower". And Yu-Na would be more of the daddy figure I think, so last name Kim. No, actually Asada-Kim.
Yeahh...Hana Asada-Kim. Can you imagine what kind of raw, twisted talent this kid would be born with?!
Let me share with you some of my World Cup "art" that I made in paint. Some of it I like but some of it is just silly!
These are the captains of Team Italy and Team Spain (my favorite--viva espane!). Yeah, I was feeling pretty bored and pretty inspired so I used MS paint to graffiti over some Yahoo Images pictures xD Iker Casillas is probably one of my favorite soccer players of all time...he's very humble and an extremely talented goalkeeper.
I am loving these soccer-themed commercials just like I loved those snowboarding commercials they would always show during the Olys earlier this year. It just dawned on me...EVERY 4 YEARS WE GET WINTER OLYS/WORLD CUP DOUBLE EVENT GOODNESS. (^--^ )/ I always knew I liked my birth year for some reason...(besides the fact that I was born >__>;;).
Even if you are not a soccer fan, you should watch this video!! Some wonderful fan made this and it's the best sports montage I have ever seen. Yes, it beats the NFL. Well, there was that sick Paper Planes figure skating montage online about a year ago that was just awesome, but it's gone now (T__T)
The first picture is a play on how even though he makes millions, Iker still supposedly drives a really crappy old car. The second one is just a quote that I love from him xD It doesn't make much sense, but at the same time it makes perfect sense.
"TAKESHIIIIIIII~#*(&!@*&&^(!?"
Another one of Iker. This time he was being interviewed by a Japanese woman, and suddenly remembered a small piece of Japanese culture from his youth. TAKESHI'S CASTLE!! An old game show from the 80's where players would have to do difficult but funny tasks to get to Takeshi in his "castle." So yeah, he basically just jumped up, screamed that and kind of scared the lady. But still, he was very adorable and went back to his somewhat-shy-self just seconds after.
If you're bored, you should watch the video. Pretty much the whole thing is laced with Iker cuteness and sweet moments (^--^ ).
Japanese lady: Holaaa!
Iker: Como estas? Bien?
Japanese lady: Bien. Encantada...de...
Iker: NICE TO MEET YOU
