If I’m to believe that human nature is of two essential truths (good and evil), then perhaps the seven deadly sins are simply the seven motivators which tend to create unsavory outcomes. Likewise, there are motivators which tend to lead to positive encounters (charity, love, respect).
If every human interaction is a reflection of a motivator, then in essence our every moment spent is a proverbial tally on the spreadsheet of our cumulative existence.
