When the sky above them turned purple, illuminated by the firework of people celebrating New Year both, Jack and Juliet stared at the strange play of colors above them. Paralyzed by feelings she couldn't make sense of, Juliet instinctively reached for Jack's hand and when his fingers closed around her hand with so much pressure it almost hurt her, Juliet knew it wasn't just her. She moved closer and when their bodies touched she could feel him shiver. She wanted to say something to make him feel better, but she was too confused, too upset to find the right words.
