Glancing at the clock on the nightstand, Maggie let out a sigh. It was almost midnight and there's still no sign of Garret. It shouldn't surprise her at all; she was used to him being late. She knew that he rather spend his time at the morgue with the dead, than being home with his family.
It was nothing new and yet it's something that needed to be changed soon. She couldn't go on like this any longer and she didn't want to anymore, either; she realized that now.
As sad as it was, but, sometimes, love just wasn't enough.
