Nope. I don't work there. I did the whole list on a four day vacation last year. I took about 2000 photos while I was there! Not bad for 4 days! ;)
Odd was taken right as we were leaving the Magic Kingdom. I ran into a random bunch of strangers and asked if I could take their picture. They all posed wonderfully.
The longer story:
I'd been wanting to dress up when I went to the Magic Kingdom ever since hearing that we were going there. Unfortunately, upon checking their rules, I found that if you're older than five years old, you're not allowed to dress up (it's safer for the kids, this way they don't go running over to strangers.. and it's also safer for the company image because they want to make sure only really awesome people represent their park in costume). Only, I didn't check the one tiny addendum to this rule: From September 28th to October 31st, each Friday is Costume Day, and they have a Costume Party from 7pm till closing, they close the park down for all others.. so not only did I not get to get dressed up, I also had to leave the park early. But it was okay, because I saw all these awesome people coming in for the party dressed up all cool looking. I took several pictures of the crowds coming in that night.. and of course, my mother didn't understand why I was taking pictures of "random strangers", but I just love costuming :)
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party =) Went to my second last year... We may go to the Christmas Party when we go this year.
When you go again you might want to check out www.disboards.com It's a forum of Disney Crazy planners - if it can be learned/planned in connection to all things Disney - they can help/show you how.
I found the most amazing part of that whole party was that when we entered the place that morning, Main Street wasn't decorated. It looked like a normal day. By night time, when we were walking out.. the whole place looked completely different! They decorated for the party and rearranged everything in a matter of a few hours. It was amazing.. like a pit crew at a race track or something. heh.
Ah, cool! Yeah.. some parents made a big stink about the villains "being mean" (probably just playing silly tricks.. I can see them being tricksy not malicious) to their kids and Disney cut back on the villains in their parks. Soooo stupid. Sheesh! They were just playing a role, people.
Since you have to stand in line to meet the characters you would think that the more logical response if parents didn't want their kid to meet up with villains would be not to stand in line to meet them with their kids...
