So, in my path to becoming better at my craft, I have been dabbling with HDR photography. HDR stands for high dynamic range and an HDR image is actually 3 images in one. For the shot you bracket your photos, so one is perfectly exposed, one is about a stop or two dark and the last is a stop or two overexposed. Using an HDR program you mash the images together getting extreme detail and some fantastic results with the right tweaks. I am really enjoying the process but have been hesitant to submit any of my HDR photos because the change is dramatic and I kinda want each list to look like a complete set. Even though I did switch from film to digital during my list 1. So tonight I submit two versions of my image for zen. The middle (perfectly exposed) shot and the HDR shot I processed for funsies. What do you guys think? Does HDR have a place here?
