Lovely ending there. Made me grin. I love the fight scene in Gunmen.

You got Rimmer's psychosis, paranoia, and distrust of the entire universe down perfectly. I think that's why I'm afraid to write Red Dwarf fic, I don't think I could write Rimmer.

Awww, thanks! Rimmer's an odd character to write. Getting into his mindset is a difficult thing, so I'm glad to hear I got it right.

Don't let Rimmer scare you off from writing RD fic. Try writing with the Cat, or Lister first. Ease your way into the universe. Not every RD fic has to have Rimmer in it, you know? Maybe the Starbug's power is low, so he has to be off to conserve energy, or on the Red Dwarf he's off on another week-long trip through engineering. He's easy to get rid of, once you find an excuse. ;)

Actually I'm trying to Rimmer/Lister write for the love_letter challenge, but all that seems to write itself is stuff about Lister. Bleh.

Ay, and there's the rub. The little bugger won't go away. Even if you can get him off to be Ace, he'll be back in someway or another. We like him too much. ;)

Which challenge is that? What do you have to write? (If you need to, try a one-sided Lister/Rimmer. Maybe Lister's watching Rimmer and thinking about him.)
