A list of all the chibis I have done and plan to do. It will grow larger as I get more ideas and gain new interests. I probably will never finish it, but it's still fun to lay out there.
My magic number is five per title, but only if I have that many favorite characters from the series, and I may do more if I have more than five favorites. I

I should probably play The Last Story too, sounds like it'll be amazing. My Wii is in my desk at work since I let someone borrow it...lol I haven't played that thing since like we played Dokapon Kingdom.

Xenoblade just says to me that Takahashi and co. finally got their shit together. They are very serious about the fact that it's not related to the other Xeno games, but there are so many amusing throwbacks.
Plus there's lots of quotable battle dialogue we can make jokes about later.

It's good to see JRPGs still doing well. You know, I've heard that apparently FFXV will be an open world (i.e. Oblivion) with the VI, IX, XII guy, minus actual battle sequences. Not sure what to think of that, but I haven't followed FF in forever anyway.
The Wii games seem to be an exercise in the strength of gameplay over the shiny auto battle linear homogenization of other games. Oh, but that Theatrhythm game on 3DS looks pretty cool, I should get that eventually.
And really, I think they should just stop making tactical RPGs altogether. Except Fire Emblem, but even those don't have the same personality now imo with the 2D gone. I say this having not played a 3D one lol, but those battle animations are SUPER COOL

Xenoblade has an auto-attack system too. I almost wrote it off for that reason, but I tried playing it, then it was actually really intense and required a lot of real-time strategy. Each character has their own unique fighting style and you have to put together teams that compliment whatever style you're going to be controlling hands-on.
I like tactical RPGs, but it seems like that's the type of game that anybody makes these days when they don't have much in the way of a budget or new ideas. Stuff like Fire Emblem and Disgaea are great franchises, and both entirely different in gameplay and personality. But there's so many generic SRPGs on the DS and PSP it's ridiculous.

Yes, it's tough to find a portable RPG that isn't a tactics style game. Very often those types are ones that encourage grinding too...and if I'm going to do a lot of fighting, it had better be pretty hype. Isometric grids aren't very hype. VPDS was fun with the combos and team attacks though.
I wish the 3DS' Virtual Console was as good as the Wii's. All their shit is Gameboy stuff nobody cares about. Everything else is some kind of terrible cell phone game port that should be free or $1, but costs 6.99 or something >:(

In a bit of news from me, the Persona fighting game it out and it's good. I'd say it's a better Blazblue.
