So, Mike's playing Xenoblade. I'm not playing it because I have too much work to do to take on such a lofty RPG at this time, but I'm enjoying watching him play it ( Read more... )

Yeah, I guess I'm going to have to bust out the old Wii for The Last Story and Xenoblade at some point. I've heard good things about both.

Persona 3 FES is on PSN now for 9.99 and I've still yet to play one of those games, so maybe I'll get that sometime too. Those and the Tales games seem to be the forerunners of Japanese RPGs, at least for the scene here in America. If RPGs can have a scene? FF just has that more casual appeal, with some people really liking it and some not so much.

Speaking of, I noticed there were DLC Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed outfits for the XIII-2 characters. The DLC situation across the board is getting out of control - I thought it was just fighting games =/

The worst is Blazblue. For 5.99, you can download a "system voice". Basically one of the voice actors replaces the person that calls out "round 1! fight!". For six dollars. People buy this.

Yeah. Xenoblade is really good. Everybody is giving it 9 and 10 scores across the board. It will make you feel better about buying a Wii. Nintendo is fucking nuts for not wanting to localize this originally ( ... )

Yep, I can easily see Brandon doing that (probably because he has when I'm around) so no surprise there. Play this if you want to, but I'd like to keep talking about how I don't like it if you don't mind! :D lol that doesn't work with anything. I have a co-worker who acts like that with my food. "You're using hot sauce again??!!?!? EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW"

I wonder if half of these people are actually 8 years old or something.

Spoilered? I don't think XIII-2 has much anything to do with the original. Doesn't sound like it anyway. I doubt he'd understand enough of it to know what was going on anyway, unless he was intently sitting next to you whenever you played it and taking in details.

I hope my significant other plays games. That would just help things go smoother I think. So long as they're low on the personality issues lol.

Oh, and something else along those lines...I've been in enough small groups of people watching a movie/playing games to notice that pretty often, someone's enjoyment of something is much more likely to be brought down when more people are around. If someone vocal is around that doesn't like something and inevitably says so, often during the movie/game, one of two things happen a lot ( ... )
