The day started off with the thunderous rumble of Goku’s cavernous stomach. “I’m hun -” Goku started.
Sanzo fired a shot past Goku’s ear.
“If you complain about being hungry, I will kill you.”
Sanzo reached for his pack of cigarettes, but they were not on the nightstand where he left them. He went over to his pack and searched. Not there.
“Hakkai, have you seen my cigarettes?”
“Hakkai’s in the bathroom,” Gojyo replied.
As if on cue, Hakkai emerged holding Sanzo’s wrung-out robes and a waterlogged pack of cigarettes.
“Sorry, Sanzo, I forgot to check the sleeves.”
Sanzo doubted it.
